More Porsche Panamera Photos and Information Leak Onto the Web |
|
The upcoming Porsche Panamera has been teased and speculated for quite some time now and it appears that the first semi-official details have leaked out onto the web along with some accompanying photographs. Now shown in what looks to be a production-ready guise, these pictures don't stray too far away from what we've seen in spy shots from the past. This leaked information suggests that the Panamera is 195.6 inches long, 75.6 inches wide, and rides on a 115.2-inch wheelbase, and the folks over at CarScoop point out that these dimensions are a bit larger than the current Audi A6 while being smaller than the A8.
This information also suggests that the Panamera will be initially offered in three variants: base, S, and Turbo, with a 300-horsepower 3.0-liter V-6, 405-horsepower 4.8-liter V-8, and 500-horsepower twin-turbo 4.8-liter V-8 being offered respectively. The different powertrains will be managed by either manual gearboxes or Porsche's new dual-clutch PDK transmission. A six-cylinder hybrid variant is said to be in the works, as well.
The Panamera is indeed a very interesting-looking vehicle and we're quite intrigued as to how the whole package will fall together. Until then, we'll have to wait and see if these details and photographs match up to the production model set to debut next year.
