| Poll: Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart vs Subaru Impreza WRX |
;) Impreza vs Lancer; a battle that has been fought on rally stages, dealerships even in internet forums is about to get even worse as Mitsubishi is preparing to launch an attack on the Subaru Impreza WRX hatch. Of course we?re talking about the production version of the ?Prototype-S? that was officially unveiled today ?see here. The ?Prototype-S? will bear the moniker Lancer Sportback Ralliart when it goes into production during the second half of the year. Mitsubishi?s hatchback is powered by a de-tuned version of the EVO X?s 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo engine delivering 240 HP and it also gets the same advanced AWD system as the top Lancer. Its AWD Subaru counterpart is equipped with a 224 HP 4-cylinder, turbocharged boxer engine. There?s no way of knowing which car is better until we get the chance to drive both of them, but it would be interesting to hear your initial thoughts after seeing what Mitsubishi is preparing to offer.
