Around the globe BRABUS is synonymous with sporty-elegant design that combines optimal aerodynamic efficiency and perfect fit in OEM quality: BRABUS body components for the new Mercedes E-Class combine these attributes at the highest level of perfection. For the facelift generation that started in June 2006 BRABUS has developed an aerodynamically refined front spoiler that is attached to the production bumper. For further improved active safety the production front can be upgraded with two precise-fit BRABUS moldings for two high beams and fog lamps each. For the first-generation W/S 211 models BRABUS offers a complete front bumper with four auxiliary lights.

BRABUS rocker panels lend the E-Class a more homogenous appearance. On the underside of each panel are five LED lights, which are activated by the keyless-entry remote or by pulling on an inside door handle. The lamps illuminate the ground next to the vehicles allowing safe entering and exiting of the car in the dark.

The BRABUS appearance package for the E-Class sedan is rounded out with the separation edge for the trunk lid and with the elegantly shaped rear apron. The BRABUS rear spoiler reduces lift on the rear axle by some 40 percent and at the same time improves aerodynamic drag. The rear of the wagon can be upgraded visually with the BRABUS rear fascia that attaches to the production bumper.

One-piece or multi-piece, 18-, 19- or even 20-inch diameters: Owners of a Mercedes E-Class can always find the perfect wheel of choice in the extensive BRABUS lineup. The sporty Monoblock A six-spoke design is available in sizes 8.5Jx17, 8Jx18 and 8.5Jx18. They come with a general technical certificate that eliminates the need to amend the vehicle's operating certificate.

The other BRABUS light-alloy wheels for the E-Class range in size from 8.5Jx18 to 10.5Jx20. Just as extensive is the choice of designs: The striking Monoblock VI styling with six pronounced double-spokes has been BRABUS mainstay for many years. Two other versions, the Monoblock S wheel family with five double spokes and the brand-new Monoblock E nine-spoke wheels put a heavy emphasis on elegance. All have one thing in common: They are manufactured meeting OEM standards and offer maximum quality. The best possible tires for any of these BRABUS tire/wheel combinations are provided by technology partners Pirelli and Yokohama up to the maximum possible sizes for the E-Class, 245/30 ZR 20 in front and 295/25 ZR 20 on the rear axle.

Extensive driving tests were conducted to develop sporty yet comfortable suspensions solutions for the W/S 211-series E-Class. For the four- and six-cylinder models with conventional springs the BRABUS tuning program offers lowering springs or sport suspensions that are custom-matched to the specific weight of each model. For all E-Class models equipped with air suspension BRABUS offers a suspension module that lowers the ride height of sedan and wagon by some 20 millimeters. In addition BRABUS offers sport sway bars for all models to further optimize handling characteristics.

Another focal point of the BRABUS R&D department lies in expanding the car's inherent safety reserves by installing durable efficient and powerful high-performance brakes. For the E-Class customers can choose from three different BRABUS brake systems.

The line-up of BRABUS performance kits for the new E-Class is as extensive as the choice of different engines available from the factory. The top-notch quality of the BRABUS components is underlined with the unique BRABUS Tuning Warranty of three years up to 100,000 kilometers (see BRABUS warranty conditions as of June 2003).

More power through an increase in displacement is a proven method that also works in the new E-Class. The increase in displacement to 4.0 liters bumps power output of the four-valve engine of the E 350 model to 332 hp / 244 kW and peak torque to 420 Nm. For the new four-valve V8 of the latest Mercedes E 500 model the BRABUS engine specialists have developed the BRABUS 6.1 displacement engine. It delivers 462 hp / 340 kW at 6,200 rpm and a peak torque of 635 Nm at 3,100 rpm. Like all BRABUS engines it is lubricated exclusively with ARAL high-performance motor oil. When powered by this engine the Mercedes E 500 exhibits markedly more zip. Sprint time to 100 km/h is reduced to 4.8 seconds. In combination with the BRABUS V/max unit that eliminates the standard 250-km/h limit top speed increases to 305 km/h. For best possible transfer of all the available power to the road BRABUS recommends the installation of its locking rear differential.

BRABUS tuning is also available for the CDI turbodiesel models. They combine performance and environmental friendliness: The BRABUS PowerXtra performance kits are also available for models equipped with diesel particulate filter and meet the same emission limits as their non-tuned brethren. The lineup of kits starts with the BRABUS D2 (III) kit that boosts power output of the E 200 CDI to 147 hp / 108 kW and peak torque to 300 Nm. The E 220 CDI with BRABUS D3 (III) module produces 177 hp / 130 kW. The BRABUS D5 tuning kit increases power output of the E 280 CDI by 52 hp / 38.2 kW and peak torque by 70 Nm.

For the V6 engine of the E 320 CDI model BRABUS offers the D6 (III) performance kit. It elevates power output of the six-cylinder turbodiesel to 272 hp / 200 kW at just 3,800 rpm and peak torque to 590 Nm. Performance is on an equally high level: The tuned E 320 CDI sprints from 0 - 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. Top speed is 250 km/h.

BRABUS sport exhaust systems are available for all E-Class models. The fully stainless-steel exhaust systems contribute to maximum power yield and provide a throatier exhaust note. Depending on the specific E-Class model the systems come with two or four tailpipes.

Exclusive interior design is yet another world-renowned BRABUS specialty. The range of options for the new Mercedes E-Class includes exclusive accessories and fully leather interiors crafted from especially soft and breathable yet highly durable BRABUS Mastik and Alcantara leathers. The ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel is available in a number of leather/wood design combinations.

Exclusive door sills with illuminated BRABUS logo add a classy touch. Aluminum components such as foot-pedal pads, door-lock pins and gearshift lever as well as a BRABUS speedometer scaled to 320, 360 or even 400 km/h add sporty character.

The BRABUS design team has further developed special consoles for the back of the front seats. These consoles cover the entire back of the seat all the way up to the headrest. They are designed to house 7-inch LCD screens with 16:9 picture format and an integrated DVD player.
