Whether with 18-, 19- or even 20-inch diameter - BRABUS offers the right light-alloy wheels for any owner's liking. All BRABUS Monoblock rims - one-piece or multi-piece - are manufactured in OEM quality. As a Mercedes driver you shouldn't ask for less. In close cooperation with technology partners Michelin and Pirelli the BRABUS suspension engineers and test drivers have conducted extensive driving tests to determine the very best tire/wheel combinations. SL owners can choose from three different BRABUS wheel designs - but that's not all.

The product lineup ranges from BRABUS Monoblock A six-spoke wheels with general technical certificate in sizes 8.5Jx17 and 8.5Jx18 all the way to the especially exclusive 20-inch combination. In the latter size BRABUS offers a choice of Monoblock VI or the also fully polished Monoblock S wheels. Wheels in size 9Jx20 in front with 255/30 ZR 20 tires and 10.5Jx20 with 305/25 ZR 20 tires on the rear axle fill out the available space in the hweel houses perfectly. To further enhance the already impressive handling characteristics of the new Mercedes SL BRABUS developed several sport suspensions. For the SL 350 models with conventional steel springs there is a lowering kit or a sporty yet comfortable sport suspension. For all SL models with ABC suspension BRABUS developed an electronic module that lowers the ride height of the car by about 25 millimeters. BRABUS looks back on decades of experience in developing efficient and strong high-performance brake systems for Mercedes automobiles. The largest version for the SL comprises vented and perforated brake discs in mega-size 375 x 36 mm and 12-piston fixed calipers in front and vented and perforated 355 x 28 mm discs and six-piston fixed calipers on the rear axle.

BRABUS offers the world's largest selection of high-performance engines based on Mercedes engines. As the top-of-the-line engine for the new V6 engine of the SL 350 model the BRABUS engineers have developed a version with an increased displacement of four liters, a maximum power output of 332 hp / 244 kW and a peak torque of 420 Nm. For the new four-valve V8 generation of the SL 500 BRABUS offers the 6.1 S displacement engine. 462 hp / 340 kW at 6,200 rpm and a peak torque of 615 Nm at 3,100 rpm are the most important performance figures for this engine that like all BRABUS engines is operated exclusively with ARAL high-performance motor oil.

The SL 600 model can be performance-tuned in two ways. On the one hand there is the BRABUS T12 kit which boosts power output of the 12-cylinder bi-turbo engine to 570 hp / 419 kW and increases peak torque to 900 Nm.

The most powerful engine is the BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo displacement engine which normally powers the BRABUS ROCKET. By installing a specially designed millet-steel crankshaft, larger-diameter pistons with corresponding larger cylinder bore and precision-balanced piston rods displacement is increased from normally 5.5 to 6.3 liters. In addition the turbocharged V12 is fitted with two special larger turbochargers, a more efficient intercooling system, a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with metal catalysts and low back pressure. With 730 hp / 537 kW and a peak torque of an incredible 1,320 Nm the BRABUS engine sets new performance standards. In the car peak torque is limited electronically to 1,100 Nm. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a modified five-speed automatic transmission and a special BRABUS locking differential. The entire drivetrain is operated with ARAL high-performance lubricants. With a sprint time for 0 - 100 km/h of just 4.0 seconds, 10.5 seconds for 0 - 200 km/h and an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h, depending on tires and final drive ratio, the BRABUS S V12 S Biturbo roadster is one of the world's fastest sports cars. BRABUS tuning is also available for the SL 65: With BRABUS T 12 S performance kit the engine delivers an additional 40 hp / 29.4 kW. After the installation of a BRABUS T 65 S performance kit the engine will even produce 715 hp / 526 kW of power and a peak torque of 1,100 Nm. The BRABUS stainless-steel sport exhaust with four chromed tailpipes is a must for all SL owners who prefer an even sportier engine sound and a more striking rear appearance for their two-seater.

Exclusive, customized interiors are yet another BRABUS specialty. The list of exclusive accessories includes sill plates with illuminated BRABUS logo, ergonomically shaped safety steering wheels with airbag, heated rim and steering-wheel shifter, a speedometer with 360-km/h scale, and a genuine carbon interior trim package in various colors. Even the most far-reaching customer requests for customization are fulfilled in the company-own upholstery shop with especially exclusive BRABUS interiors masterfully handcrafted from especially soft yet durable BRABUS Mastik and Alcantara leathers.
