| Porsche 911 997 Turbo GTstreet by TechArt: street-legal monster |
|
German TechArt studio will present in Geneva its latest tire-burner based on the current Porsche 911 Turbo 997 series super-coupe. While most tuners focus their efforts on eye-popping exterior enhancements, TechArt's engineers have centered their attention on the engine. The original 3.6-liter flat twin-turbo now sports impressive 630 hp, which 150 hp better than before modifications, and peak torque increased from 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) to 820 Nm (605 lb-ft). After all the modifications the new Porsche 911 997 Turbo GTstreet is able to jump from zero to 60 mph in only 3.2 seconds and reach 125 mph in 10.9 seconds. The vehicle's top speed is maximized at impressive 214 mph. The new aerodynamics package was developed in the wind tunnel to help keep this orange-black beast on the pavement.
