Saleen S281 Ultimate Bad Boy Edition knocks down Ferrari 430
Saleen Inc., which is sponsoring "The Great American Run" rally, will produce a small series of modified Saleen S281 "Extreme" Mustangs to celebrate the event. One of the Saleen S281 "Extreme" Ultimate Bad Boy Edition jet-black monsters that boast an additional 50 horsepower and special graphics package will be delivered to the winner of the race.

The original 2007 Saleen S281 "Extreme" is itself the world's fastest production Mustang. It sports considerable 550 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque, which is delivered to the rear axle via close-ratio six-speed transmission and 4:10 rear gearing with a Maxgrip differential. The list of other enhancements seems to go on forever, including -but not limiting to- new high-flow cooling system, and 15-inch slotted and vented disc brake system.

All this makes the Saleen S281 "Extreme" a rival for such road monsters as the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Ferrari 430, Porsche 911 Carrera and the Dodge Viper SRT-10. The Saleen S281 "Extreme" Ultimate Bad Boy Edition with its 50 horsepower aftermarket upgrade (kiss good bye manufacturer's warranty) and forged 5-spoke, one-piece wheels makes the 'Stang a real killer.
